For a richer flavor, try using browned butter instead of regular melted butter. If you don't have a stand mixer, you can knead the dough by hand on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. To make the rolls ahead of time, you can refrigerate the dough after the first rise for up to 24 hours. Bring the dough back to room temperature before shaping and baking. Experiment with different types of cheese! Gruyere, Monterey Jack, or a blend of cheeses would also be delicious.

Feb 5, 2025I was a bit skeptical about the tomato sauce, but it really works! The rolls were soft, cheesy, and so flavorful. Definitely making these again!
