Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

Rinse salmon fillets under cold water and pat dry. Place on a plate and drizzle with lemon juice. Season generously with salt and pepper. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Fold each piece of parchment paper in half crosswise to create a crease. Open the paper and center a salmon fillet on one side of the crease. (3 minutes)

04

Step

Arrange 1-2 lemon slices on top of each salmon fillet. Scatter 2 asparagus spears around the salmon. Sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of chopped green onions over the lemon and asparagus. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Fold the other half of the parchment paper over the salmon. Starting at one corner, tightly fold and crimp the edges of the parchment paper together to create a sealed packet. Repeat until all edges are sealed, creating an airtight envelope. (8 minutes)

06

Step

Place the sealed parchment packets onto a baking sheet. Brush the top of each packet with about 1 teaspoon of olive oil. (2 minutes)

07

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. (25 minutes)

08

Step

To serve, carefully place a packet on each plate. Cut open the top of the packet with a knife or scissors to release the fragrant steam and reveal the perfectly cooked salmon.

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a sprig of fresh dill or thyme to each packet before sealing.
Feel free to substitute other vegetables like sliced bell peppers, zucchini, or cherry tomatoes for the asparagus.
Ensure the parchment paper is well-sealed to trap the steam and cook the salmon evenly.
Cooking time may vary slightly depending on the thickness of the salmon fillets. Check for doneness at 20 minutes and adjust accordingly.
