For an extra layer of flavor, try toasting the rice lightly in the pot before adding water. Feel free to adjust the amount of chili-garlic sauce to your preference. A dash of rice vinegar can also brighten the flavors. If you don't have toasted sesame seeds on hand, lightly toast them in a dry pan over medium heat until fragrant.
