Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the Slow Cooker: Lightly coat the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. (2 minutes)

02

Step

Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, thoroughly mix the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, vanilla extract, and salt until everything is evenly incorporated. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Slow Cook: Transfer the mixture to the prepared slow cooker. Cook on Low, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the pumpkin butter has thickened to your desired consistency. (3 hours)

04

Step

Cool and Store: Once cooked, let the pumpkin butter cool completely. Transfer to airtight jars and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze for longer storage. (30 minutes)

For a richer flavor, consider using dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
Adjust the spices to your preference. If you prefer a stronger spice flavor, add an extra 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon or ginger.
The pumpkin butter will thicken as it cools, so don't be concerned if it seems a bit thin when it's fresh out of the slow cooker.
To ensure a smooth consistency, you can use an immersion blender to blend the pumpkin butter after cooking. Be careful when blending hot liquids.
