Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray. (2 minutes)

02

Step

In a large bowl, combine the cabbage slaw mix, chopped jalapeño pepper, lime juice, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed. Set aside. (5 minutes)

03

Step

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, yellow cornmeal, and taco seasoning mix. Add the bite-sized cod pieces to the mixture, tossing to coat evenly. Ensure each piece is well-covered, then discard any excess seasoning. Place the coated cod in the prepared air fryer basket and lightly mist with cooking spray. (10 minutes)

04

Step

Air fry for 5 minutes, then gently shake the basket to ensure even cooking. Continue air frying until the fish is crispy and flakes easily with a fork, approximately 5 minutes more. Transfer the crispy cod to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. (10 minutes)

05

Step

Place the cabbage slaw mixture into the air fryer basket, spreading it in an even layer. (2 minutes)

06

Step

Air fry until the cabbage is beautifully caramelized, about 8 minutes, stirring halfway through to prevent burning and promote even caramelization. (8 minutes)

07

Step

Warm the corn tortillas. Evenly spoon the caramelized cabbage slaw onto each tortilla and top with the crispy air-fried cod. Serve immediately and enjoy the explosion of flavors! (5 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a dollop of sour cream or a drizzle of chipotle mayo on top of the tacos.
Feel free to adjust the amount of jalapeño pepper to suit your spice preference.
If you don't have an air fryer, you can bake the fish in a preheated oven at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for about 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through and crispy.
