Follow The Directions

01

Step

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. (1 minute)

02

Step

Add zucchini, carrot, onion, celery, bell pepper, jalapeño, and slivered almonds. Sauté until zucchini is slightly soft. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and sauté for a few seconds. (30 seconds)

04

Step

Add cooked rice, garlic, remaining 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, ginger, curry powder, dried basil, turmeric, black pepper, coriander, cayenne pepper, and salt. Sauté until rice is heated through and takes on a nice toasty texture. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Remove from heat and stir in salted butter. (1 minute)

06

Step

Cover and let sit before serving. (3 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, try using toasted sesame oil instead of vegetable oil.
Feel free to add other vegetables like broccoli florets or snap peas.
If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of jalapeño and cayenne pepper.
For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of salted butter.
