For an even richer flavor, consider using browned butter in the filling. If you don't have time for a full rise, you can use rapid-rise yeast and shorten the rising times. To prevent the crust from browning too quickly, tent the loaves with foil during the last 20 minutes of baking. Potica freezes well. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil after baking and cooling completely.
