Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, whole wheat flour, honey, wheat germ, cashews, almonds, vegetable oil, coconut, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly coated. (5 minutes)

03

Step
2 mins

Spread the granola mixture in a thin, even layer onto a baking sheet. (2 minutes)

04

Step
1 mins

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and stir the granola. Increase the oven temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). (1 minute)

05

Step
10 mins

Return the granola to the oven and continue baking until it is a beautiful golden brown, approximately 10 minutes more. Watch carefully to prevent burning. (10 minutes)

06

Step
30 mins

Remove the granola from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking sheet. As it cools, it will crisp up. (30 minutes)

07

Step

Once completely cool, break the granola into clusters and store in an airtight container at room temperature. Enjoy with milk, yogurt, or as a topping for your favorite desserts.

For a richer flavor, try toasting the oats and nuts separately before combining with the wet ingredients.
Feel free to substitute your favorite nuts and seeds, such as pecans, walnuts, sunflower seeds, or pumpkin seeds.
Add dried fruit, like raisins, cranberries, or chopped dates, after the granola has cooled to prevent them from becoming hard and chewy during baking.
If you prefer a sweeter granola, increase the amount of honey or brown sugar to taste.
For a vegan option, substitute maple syrup or agave nectar for the honey.
