For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds or a pinch of red pepper flakes. If you prefer a milder flavor, you can reduce the amount of Thai sweet chili sauce. English cucumbers, with their thinner skin and fewer seeds, work exceptionally well in this salad. You can also use Persian cucumbers. This salad is best served fresh. While it can be stored in the refrigerator for a day, the cucumbers may lose some of their crispness. Consider adding other vegetables such as red bell pepper for color and crunch.
