For easier slicing, wrap the cooled cake tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. You can use different combinations of nuts and dried fruits based on your preference. Dried apricots or figs would be great additions! Be sure to grease and line the loaf pans very well, as this cake can be sticky.
