Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

Unfold puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet along fold marks into 3 strips, then cut each strip into 4 squares to create 12 pastry squares per sheet. Place squares onto baking sheets. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, approximately 15 minutes. Cool squares completely. (30 minutes)

04

Step

Whisk milk and pudding mix together in a bowl until thick and smooth, about 1 minute. Let sit to finish thickening for about 3 minutes more. Gently fold whipped topping into the pudding mixture. Transfer the chocolate mousse to a pastry bag fitted with a medium tip. (10 minutes)

05

Step

Using a butter knife or your finger, gently open one corner of each pastry square to create a small pocket. Pipe about 1 tablespoon of chocolate mousse into the opening until a small amount of mousse appears. Repeat with the remaining pastry squares and mousse. Lightly dust the squares with confectioners' sugar. (20 minutes)

For an extra touch, consider adding a sprinkle of cocoa powder or chocolate shavings on top of the confectioners' sugar.
Ensure the puff pastry is thoroughly thawed before unfolding to prevent cracking.
If you don't have a pastry bag, a resealable plastic bag with a corner snipped off can be used as a substitute.

The mousse was a little too sweet for my taste. I'll reduce the amount of pudding mix next time.
