Indulge in the ultimate autumn dessert: a decadent pecan pie infused with the rich flavors of Kahlua® and studded with chocolate chips. The Kahlua® taste deepens if you let the pie sit for a day or two. More than just a pecan pie, it's an experience. If Kahlua® isn't your taste, feel free to substitute Kahlua®-flavored coffee syrup for the liqueur. Serve warm or at room temperature for the perfect treat.

Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Evenly distribute 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup pecan halves into the bottom of each pie shell. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large bowl, whisk together dark corn syrup and eggs until well combined. Add sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the mixture. Continue whisking until the mixture is smooth and homogenous. Stir in coffee-flavored liqueur and chocolate syrup until fully incorporated into the pie filling. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Carefully pour the filling into each prepared pie shell, ensuring that the pecans and chocolate chips remain undisturbed at the bottom. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Bake the pies in the preheated oven until the crust is lightly browned and the filling is puffed and set. This typically takes 50 to 60 minutes. To prevent over-browning, consider covering the edges of the crust with foil or a pie shield during the last 20 minutes of baking.

05

Step

Once baked, remove the pies from the oven and allow them to cool completely on a wire rack. This will allow the filling to set properly. (2 hours)

For an even richer flavor, consider toasting the pecan halves before adding them to the pie.
If you don't have dark corn syrup, you can substitute light corn syrup, but the flavor will be slightly different.
The pie can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving for the best flavor and texture.
