Follow The Directions

01

Step

Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, and celery; cook until onion is translucent (8-10 minutes). Add chicken, salt, and black pepper; cook, stirring occasionally (2-3 minutes). Stir in garlic, ginger, turmeric, and red pepper flakes; cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).

02

Step

Increase heat to medium-high and pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil.

03

Step

Reduce heat to medium, cover, and simmer until chicken is cooked through (8-10 minutes). Transfer chicken to a plate; shred once cool enough to handle.

04

Step

Increase heat to medium-high; bring the soup back to a boil. Add orzo and cook, stirring occasionally, until al dente (8-10 minutes).

05

Step

Remove and discard parsley stems; roughly chop the leaves. Stir parsley, shredded chicken, and apple cider vinegar into the soup. Taste, and adjust seasonings if needed.

For a richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth.
Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your preference.
Feel free to add other vegetables, such as zucchini or spinach.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
