Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch square casserole dish. (Prep time: 5 minutes)

02

Step

Combine baked beans, ketchup, cooked bacon, brown sugar, and mustard powder in a bowl. Pour mixture into the prepared dish. Arrange bacon strips on top. Cover with aluminum foil. (Prep time: 10 minutes)

03

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Remove foil and continue baking until top is browned and crisp, 20 to 30 minutes. (Bake time: 1 hour 20-30 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, try using maple-flavored bacon.
If you don't have cooked bacon on hand, you can cook the bacon in the oven while it preheats and then crumble it. This will also render some bacon fat that can be used to grease the dish!
Feel free to adjust the amount of brown sugar to your liking. Some people prefer a sweeter taste, while others prefer a more savory one.
If you like a little kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mixture.
